A simple heart

Hope is often reserved for things that you think realistically may never happen, but that's not the case for Sam.  After an unfortunate incident on duty as a police officer, Sam found himself charged with multiple felony counts and potential jail time. While he was awaiting sentencing, the judge shared that sometimes, if friends and family write letters on behalf of the accused, it can have a positive impact on the outcome.  Over fifty people started writing and the stack in Sam's living room grows every day.  In this agonizing time, the prosecutor in the case took another job and is no longer involved. The case waits in limbo, but the letters stand as a defiant hope that the future might be better than the worst case scenario
